B.I.S. Ragus Black Tie
R.B.I.S. Redash Classic Balti
The Club Open Show was held at Middleton Cheney.
Judge: Mr. Paul Eardley
Although there were not many dogs, I felt that the principal winners were of good quality & generally presentation and handling was good. I was pleased to find no bad mouths. There were one or two wide fronts.
Puppy Dog (3,1 abs): 1.Corkhill's Redash Classic Balti , mature young dog, good typical expression, nice neck & shoulders, good level topline, very typical outline, nicely coated, very animated & attentive to handler. RBD & RBIS. 2. Crawley & Corkhill's Rouletta Juniper, nice, compact & very promising, only two months younger than 1. but still looks a baby. When he settles to his job & with a little more maturity should be a good one, shows great promise.
Junior Dog (1,0): 1. BIS, Crawley's Ragus Black Tie, 11 months, catches the eye as soon as he enters the ring, very typy, projects himself very well, on closer inspection has good head & eye, super body, good tailset, strides out well really driving from behind, nice and free with a bit of reach in front. As the day progressed, he really settled into the job & looked even better, could find nothing to beat him.
Spec. Beginners Dog (1,0): 1. Hely's Ragus Distinction, young red, very typical, stood up well to examination on the table but just refused to move. His sporting owner should persevere as he does show some promise & she could have some fun with him.
Novice Dog (1,0): 1.Ragus Distinction. Repeat.
Post Graduate Dog: No entries
Limit Dog ( 1,1 abs): Absent
Open Dog (2,1): 1. Corkhill's Redash Bonanza, nicely conditioned youngster, showed well & ended up in a battle with his kennel-mate for RBD, this one looked a touch taller. Showed well for handler.
Veteran Dog (3,2): 1. Barge & Hardwicke's Norowic Gold Dust, 11 years old & looking remarkably well for age, well-handled & presented. Moving a little wide in front.
Minor Puppy Bitch (4,2): 1. Corkhill's Redash Time'n'Tide, 6 months & really gassy, lovely show temperament, good type, very promising. 2. King's Kinsridge Magic Moment, promising young bitch, good movement back & front, needs to grow some coat & furnishings to complete the picture, what coat there was was of good texture.
Puppy Bitch (4,0): 1.Crawley's Ragus Fine Diamond, well presented, good proportions, nice size, moved very well & headed up a class of very nice young bitches. RBB. 2. Stevenson's Rouletta Violet at Brickin, really typy red, stormed round the ring & looked good in profile, with a little more coat & a bit more substance she could have turned the tables. 3. Willard & Crawley's Ragus Inspiration.
Junior Bitch (1,1): Absent
Spec. Beginners Bitch: No entries
Novice Bitch (4,1): 1. Redash Time'n'Tide. 2. Kinsridge Magic Moment. 3. Brown's Queslade Make Over.
Post Graduate Bitch (3,2): 1. Brown's Queslade Bedazzle, really well handled, nice & showy, good coat. Could do with a little more substance.
Limit Bitch (1,0): 1. Brown's Queslade She Devil, the star of the bitches, very typical, bang on in attitude & condition, good front, feminine but still very much a terrier. BB & when she challenged the dog for BIS they made a nice pair, well handled & presented.
Open Bitch (2,1): 1.Corkhill's Redash Blackcurrant, quality bitch, really good expression, good topline, nice outline moving & standing. Drives well behind. Pinning a bit in front.
